Hypnobirthing is essentially relaxation tools and techniques along with the power of positive words to release any old and unhelpful beliefs and fears around birth and replace and reprogram how we feel about it. Birth education is essentially redundant without this reprogramming. When fear takes over (as it so so easily can in birth) all logic will literally fly out of the window. Its the deep subconscious we are working with. Often the tools are used to help the sensations of birth to be way more comfortable. Although pain-free birth is not the aim of the game, ecstatic and blissful birth is certainly not just a pipe dream for many women.
